Creating a server profile
To add a new server monitoring profile to your account, from the server management page, click the create button. You will then need to provide a name for your server, its IP address and select the nearest appropriate time zone.
You may use either an IPv4 or IPv6 address, though IPv4 is generally preferred.
The next step, is to select a notification channel and route for your server. These will be used by Pulse if your server is deemed to be silent.
If you do not wish to receive a notification, simply select 'None' and leave the route blank. Otherwise, select your preferred channel and an appropriate route (with one or two exceptions, this will usually be a web link / address).
